Elizabeth Cady Stanton: After seeing the cruel and unjust treatment of women before the law, in the office of her father, Judge Cady, she vowed, even as a child, to find a way to help change these laws. Together with friends, she planned and executed the first Woman's Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, New York, 19th and 20th 1848.
